Instructor in Mathematics

The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for an Instructor position for the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, teaching position. Duties include developing and teaching courses in mathematics, serving the department and college on various committees, advising students, and assisting the department chair with assessment and other tasks as required.
Successful candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; should have experience teaching at the collegiate level; and must have a Masters (or higher) in Mathematics.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
