Food Operations Supervisor - #W0006

Supervises the activities of offenders in the preparation and serving of meals for staff and offenders. Trains offenders in sanitation and all kitchen policies and procedures. Maintains standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality in a cost efficient manner. This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12 month period of May 1 - April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience working in a food service environment. Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to monitor and supervise the work of others.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer experience working in a large volume food preparation environment. Prefer previous experience working in a supervisory role. Prefer Serv-Safe Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment. Prefer working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, cost controls and operating and repairing food service equipment. Prefer basic knowledge of Microsoft office.
Special Requirements

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
