Psychology Associate - #49211

Provides mental health services to offenders including crisis intervention, screening, psychological assessment and evaluation (psychological test administration, scoring, interpretation and report writing), psychoeducational services, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and release planning under the supervision and direction of the Psychologist/Psychology Associate Senior. Screens, tracks and monitors offenders with mental health services needs in general population and special housing. Involved in the development, implementation and monitoring of mental health services, policies and programs at the facility. May be involved with special units or programs. Serves as a consultant to Administration, Security, Treatment and Community Corrections staff. Provides in-service training.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in Psychology (clinical or counseling) or equivalent degree in related human services field from an accredited university or college or an equivalent combination of training and experience, with advanced coursework in psychology is required. Demonstrated training and experience through advanced coursework, practicums, internships and/or work experience in the treatment of mental disorders and the ability to develop intervention and treatment plans required. Ability to provide individual and group counseling or therapy. Considerable working knowledge of psychopathology, diagnostic nomenclature, psychological theory and ethical practices. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate degree in Psychology (clinical or counseling) or equivalent degree in related human services field from an accredited university or college or an equivalent combination of training and experience, with advanced coursework in psychology is preferred. Relevant professional experience under supervision to include demonstrated skills in psychological assessment including diagnostic interviewing, intelligence and personality testing and interpretation and report writing. Experience providing mental health services in a correctional, forensic, outpatient or other setting. Licensed as a mental health professional and/or certified as a service provider.
Special Requirements

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
